Jordan Forum was established to extend research opportunities to SNMA student members, enable them to display their scientific competence and to award them for their academic and research accomplishments. Since its inception more than 35 years ago, more than $150,000 has been awarded to Research Forum participants. The Jeffrey E. Sterling Fund honors Jeffrey E. Sterling, MD, MPH, Chairperson Emeritus of SNMA and founder of the Minority Association of Premedical Students (MAPS). The purpose of the fund is to provide a perpetual source of scholarships for minority Premedical students. The fund began with an initial donation of $50,000 from Dr. Sterling and after the Endowment of $100,000 is reached, scholarship funds will be generated from the interest. |
