National Leadership Institute – Fall 2020
September 18-20, 2020
Leadership in A Time of Crisis
The September National Leadership Institute will be virtual and hosted by Michigan State University College of Human Medicine! We will be discussing how to hone one’s leadership skills during a crisis, how to market yourself and share your story within your CV and personal statements, and much more. You will have the opportunity to network with Black Men and Women in Leadership across the nation at our Friday evening virtual get-together. We will hear from thought-provoking leaders, such as our keynote speakers, Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, and Dr. Leon Dougle, who have lived through crises. Additionally, in line with the SNMA's heart for service, all attendees will be provided the opportunity to serve communities around the nation through a virtual pipeline mentorship session with elementary, junior high school, and high school students! If you are interested in understanding what it is like to be a leader on the SNMA's Board of Directors, you will also have the opportunity to sit-in on our board meetings, occurring after the main program on Saturday and again on Sunday. I
Please see the Agenda, below. It’s going to be a jam-packed weekend, but we are bringing together a program that we know will leave you inspired to continue down the path of leadership in the medical field.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
