role of national committees

Under the leadership of the SNMA National President, National Committees implement the programmatic work of the organization. Currently, there are 15 national committees. Each committee has two co-chairs who serve one-year terms as a part of the SNMA’s national leadership. The work of each national committee is integrally linked to the organization’s goal to support current and future underrepresented minority medical students, address the needs of underserved communities, and increase the number of clinically excellent, culturally competent and socially conscious physicians utilizing the programs and initiatives described above.
